Job losses 2025

Post by comeracing »

2025 I predict many job losses ,or rm wanting volunteers for redundancy, if the union secure 12 months I'm in , told my manager today count me in if 12 months money .nearly 30 years in this job ,never been so p###ed off with it ,was going to go in 2 and a bit years when 55 , but honestly think I can't last that long , honestly think I'd be happier working in a fish factory on just over a £1 less an hour than I would be working for this 💩 show .

Its not a prediction really, its a certainty with the USO changes. Theres no other reason for the changes other than to thin out the herd.

Martin Walsh has already said so.

Will they need to pay VR when there's so many staff leaving anyway, our DO must have lost around 50% of it's staff in just the last year.

Martin Walsh stated that no one will be forced to leave RM. So let’s see, I’m sure that more than a few will just leave in 2025, that might be the ‘natural’ wastage RM seeks. Along with retirement.

The herd is and will continue to thin itself, there may well be VR on offer but nowhere near the amount of people or the amount of money that the frenzy imagines

The new owner to be is desperate to change the USO to justify 1000's of job losses.

RM/New owner/CWU the same side of the same corrupt coin.

It’s obvious to everyone that the uso needs changing and the CWU are correct with getting on board with it .

Dropping Saturday is no longer going to be enough, I can see mail every other day, which is RM's own plan being the long term plan.

Many have been cutting off or doing overtime for weeks now as revision made the jobs too big from 2023.

Houses getting mail one week on a Tuesday and Thursday, then the next week on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, but parcels and 1st Class letters each day = tens of thousands of less staff needed.
But no compulsory redundancies?

Something doesn't add up.

Jobs will go and it’s a real shame that redundancy terms went from 2 years pay to 9 months.

That's the very reason why I suspect any uptake on VR, especially given the numbers of job losses that USO reform will cause in delivery, to be very low.

As has already been said people will say they will go but when shove comes to push very few do.
