Pension OVERPAYMENT
Anyone else this week got a letter from RMPP regarding OVERPAYMENT dated back to April? A few in our office have, with one guy owing £1200 so was wondering how widespread this is . When questioned at the time of receiving the " extra" lump sum RMPP advised that "we don't make errors" so payment was correct!!!! How wrong are they and worrying going forward how correct are future payments.

Yes, my partner received a letter to say that they had overpaid him by just over £3000. But remember that only " a small number of members were wrongly identified". I wonder what their classification of small is, and did it affect other pension schemes that they administer? Who knows if they have the correct amounts now? Altogether very disappointing

Sounds like quite a few. Unbelievable. The question is if they can overpay by £1000s can they also underpay ? Useless they are.

Yep, I recieved a letter yesterday saying they had overpaid me over £1,400 gave me a choice to pay it all back straight away or they would deduct £82 out of my pension every month for the next 18 months

Really annoys me when this happens, just like the tax office or universal credit over payments, they just hit you with a big "you owe us" well it's your bloody fault not mine, we should not have to pay it back, I got a letter last week saying I owe the taxman £900..

Got the letter today saying they’d UNDERPAID me almost £4000 since 2011 and I’ll get it in the November payment (presuming the payment paid in Dec.) less a load of tax of course.
Can’t quite believe it. We’ll see eh?
