Exactly. So I don’t know why this wasn’t raised at the AGM when the topic of ditching D2Ds altogether came up.
Barns, what was actually mentioned regards d2ds. ?
That RM wants to ditch its D2D contracts.
What RM should do is work with the D2D companies to get the D2D items into machine sortable envelopes, then we could sequence them on the CSS machines
The D2D customers wouldn’t want that as ppl will recognise the envelopes and just bin the whole thing not knowing what was inside.
At least now before being binned, receiving customers get to see it and may at least read the one that is relevant/appealing to them

Can't see anything in the AGM transcript (available here: https://www.internationaldistributionse ... -meetings/) about ditching D2D's, unless it's described as something other than 'D2D' or 'door to door', can you enlighten us?

It was discussed/mentioned at the pre AGM union meeting. So if it isn’t in the AGM transcript, what is that about? I wasn’t at either by the way, I’ve only seen the notes minutes for the former.

Before anyone starts accusing me of being a fantasist, ask your area rep if they know anything about it being discussed as a possibility, because the topic definitely came up around the AGM and I don’t know why no follow up queries were made about it because it would be a big move to ditch them altogether.
