No text messages confirming his informing the manager he would be returning with mail for example.tramssirhc wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 13:28The decision to pursue legal cases is a matter for the executive of the union. The union's solicitors can be instructed to take whatever case the executive decides should be taken.

The majority on this thread recognise Des Beach was framed-up. He had the courage to speak out yet again and the WSWS/PWRFC have been vindicated.
The few who demand more "evidence" will never be satisfied. Barnacle just didn't bother watching the video judging by their original comment on whether Des was a CWU member. Moon71 sums up the position - my company and the CWU "right or wrong". Moon71 is not in a position to hurl accusations of "bigotry" given their right wing views. This is the very definition of mud-slinging.
People may not agree with the conclusions of the WSWS/PWRFC but we tell the truth and that is the way in which the political argument will be won.

Des Beach’s issues at his office did not begin and end on that day. There must have been ongoing issues between himself and the managers for it to culminate with him being sacked for doing something that we have all had to do regularly since the botched revision.stage3 wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 15:37The majority on this thread recognise Des Beach was framed-up. There is a whole beginning of the story that you stage3 are choosing to ignore because it doesn’t fit with your agenda.
Context is sadly lacking.
You have a very combative attitude for someone who is presumably trying to enlist members.
Good luck with that.

I didn't see a vote, how do you presume a majority?stage3 wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 15:37The majority on this thread recognise Des Beach was framed-up. He had the courage to speak out yet again and the WSWS/PWRFC have been vindicated.

And how can you presume I'm right wing? Maybe based upon a militant view I held 15 years ago doesn't stack up realy.
And what's that got to do with Des's case? And the blatant bigotry the PWRFC portrays. Again, Google the word, you are the meaning. This thread is about Des, and the people that highlight it, the PWRFC and the WSWS.
Throw your twists and turns, you realy do look stupid and troubled with providing answers. Oh, there won't be answers, only political canvassing much like pre war Germany.
All we want are answers, evidence, and proof, not one man's word on it all with sole intent for political gain.

postslippete wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 09:50moon71 wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 06:05Too many holes in the story, and a very selective representation of facts for my liking. All produced for the audience with a promotion for the PWRFC an bigotted portrayal of CWU.
So many clips of evidence that are missing. Proof of phonecall, txt mssg, duty logs. With these an appeal would be won.
Whilst strikes are on, I've seen some people, maybe more militant than others often lash out against there employer, maybe make questionable decisions, and this very selective evidence, clearly not all the evidence produced, paraded for the audience, people make a decision.
The proven bigotted nature of the PWRFC shows there very poisonous nature towards the CWU and RM, and still, in my opinion, has no place in the workplace. And if I'm wrong, what exactly do they offer? Absolutely nothing.
This latest advertisement, proves only how bigotted an desperate the PWRFC are.
Dear Boss, me an my friends of the PWRFC in our delivery office would like a meeting about how we make the money and should be treated better, reply, hahahahahahahahaha
You don't work on deliveries so am I right in thinking you don't really know what goes on in delivery offices? This postal worker was not sacked for lashing out against their employer while the strikes were on so it is just a moot point. And what evidence do you actually want? It doesn't take Miss Marple to work out that these managers have had time to get together and corroborate their stories to sack this postie for the 'intentional delay of mail' when in fact managers do this every single day but use "work plan failures" and "staff sickness"to cover their own backs. This is something that any decent postal Union should be campaigning against. We work for a company that has deliberately created double standards amongst managers and its own workforce.
I don't agree with a lot of the rhetoric that the wsws come out with, but some of their views on the CWU I actually agree with, especially as the Union are more interested in protected their own vested interests over that of the members that they are supposed to represent! The PWRFC or whatever they are called might not be able to change workplaces, in much the same way that you or I can, but incidents like this need to be highlighted so that the CWU and RM can review its own practices and become a better employer and Union in the future. Sometimes it's good to actually question some of the things that have taken place and be a little bit critical instead of just being a "bigot".![]()

Funny that, tomorrow I will cover 2 duties tomorrow, delivering all the tracked, customer collects and specials, and the post boxes, usually with nothing but return letters.
Simply put, your presumptions are hollow and ill based.
