A TikToker has said he has “never seen anything like it in his life" after coming across a street sign in Liverpool. TikTok user, Scouser with a Drone, uploaded a video of what people are calling a “nightmare” of a road sign.
In the video he can be heard saying: “Look at the size of that street sign. I’ve never seen nothing like that in my life. Wow. Any need for the size of it?”. The sign in question can be found in the L27 area of Belle Vale.
It indicates the start of Southbrook Road before, as the sign suggests, then leads into the likes of Silverbrook Road, Maytree Close and Mullrea Close to name a few. The road hosts St Cyril's Social Club and is nearby to Millstead School Netherley South.
The video has now racked up over 60,000 page views with users letting their thoughts be known. Commenting on it, Lisa said: “Basically, the road leads on to the rest of Liverpool,” whereas Olivia added: “As someone who lives on this road, I can confirm it’s a taxi nightmare.”
Another account user joked: “Liverpool road builders: shall we build direct roads and routes or cul-de-sacs and add 10 minutes to everyone’s day for no reason.” Chrissy Clark said: “Proper essay” and Kimberly Foster said: “It’s way too long.”
A separate TikToker user wrote: “It’s like the stairs in Wetherspoons, goes on forever.” Hay added: “Poor postman’s head must be chocka reading all that.” Another comment read: “The sign is bigger than my grandad's bungalow.”
Whilst some debate if it's Liverpool's longest road sign, other users were quick to point out similarly sized road signs spotted around Merseyside. Someone said: "One on Aigburth like that near the barracks" and another user added: "There's a bigger one near Otterspool Park."
