Starting in a couple weeks!

Post by DogPile »

Seems I was well liked enough to get offered a 20hr contract at Dundee East depot doing post+driving. I take it for my first day in person I should just show up in business casual or will I have the chance to get my uniform before that? I have decent walking boots i'd rather wear than company issued shoes though.

My fitness questionnaire thing came out saying "An assessment with a clinician from the OH Service" is recommended and "further medical evidence is required". This is because I mentioned my epilepsy in the form, which is fully medicated and under control and has been for many many years. What's the score here? I take it I need to go attend an appointment somewhere?

Either way, I'm looking forward to joining the team :Very Happy

Nope, they ring you & do an assessment over the phone.
Opinions vary as to what people think of them but I have found them to be helpful.
Goodluck with your career with RM, you must be mad!

Dundee East was the worst DO in the UK a few years back. They were bussing in managers and hundreds of OPGs from all over the country for months on end, just to clear the backlog. Hopefully it's a bit better these days.
I remember that, a couple of tossers from our place volunteered to go up, paid travel, hotel, said they did practically nothing when they got there.

I've heard that too, from what I was told and who I was introduced to they gutted the management a couple years ago, the new management have been in place about 18 months or so
