Been on 35 since May? God knows when we go to 39/37

Early/mid September, can’t remember the exact date, we go back to 37 hours- we are on 35 at the moment. Mid November we’ll get hammered so it’s longer hours till the week after Christmas

I presume the CWU is keeping a close eye on how many hours we actually work per year ?

As the "change" dates are different from last year.

after watching the so called update last with walsh , i dont think they give a s**t about anything else apart from saving money for royal mail .

I have worked at RM for 25 years. In all that time I have only seen the CWU as RM cheerleaders it is just that it was rather more cleverly disguised in the 10 years.

With the 37 hour weeks on the new times fast approaching and the 39 hour weeks with even later start/finish times, what is the state of play with the CWU and their attempts to mitigate the new hours somewhat.
Have ANY offices been able to get better times than the ones originally given at the start of the network window change?

I can see them times being made later anyway. The last lorry that's meant to only have about a dozen yorks on it is often a full-up double stacker. We lost our later 2C run in to the network so if both inward and 2C get really busy I'm guessing that priority will have to be given to the 2C with the inward going out later

There was some noise a few months ago about CWU pressing to get better times out of the company, but I've heard nothing since. I'm asking if there have been any, even small, successes in this.

Last weeks CWU video update suggested that they are due to meet shortly with RM to discuss earlier start times, watch this space as they say.
