Do you have a link to where they have banned overtime while on rehab?

Exactly. It makes no sense. The more work they do the more risk of them worsening that injury and the more risk to the company.

Not necessarily. An individual could work for longer at a more reasonable pace but perhaps less at Usain Bolt pace.

I'm in my fifties, and have arthritis in my knee, I struggle to complete the ridiculous sized walks,

I cannot work at the pace of a 20 year old, it's getting harder, I blame royal mail for my skeletal issues...

How much longer I continue, it's not much.. it's getting crucifying..

No link but def not allowed in nimc.completed a rehab 2yrs ago and was banned from all ot because i could no longer do my own duty even tho i was placed on dda by ohs.infact 6 of us were banned from ot only when threatened with a tribunal did they get ohs involved an we won our case to be able to do ot again was quite stressful.

At some point, there must surely be a group grievance or health and safety complaint or something, because there is a limit to how much longer and how much more load we walk and carry or push.

Someone said that the union agreed to the current system of no limit on distance walked or cumulative amount carried on a shift. Don’t know if this is true.

Agreed

The whole point of the revisions agreed by the CWU were less indoor and more outdoor work.
Why do you think the CWU is silent on unrealistic workloads and recruitment and retention with these prejudicial new contracts and two-tier workforce

Shame on them.

The union agreed to let individual offices set their own delivery spans (in theory)
The smaller the delivery span the higher percentage of part time staff in an office.
Consequently to protect full time employment (and full time subs) we have ended up with longer delivery spans. Too long some would say.

The other option is to make delivery a part time occupation.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

In all these replies nobody has identified what “ too slow” is , is it objectively measured, or just a subjective opinion. What is the correct speed, because I certainly don’t know ,on heavy days I can’t complete have no intention of working overtime. No manager has spoken to me about whether I’m too slow or not , so it’s entirely subjective, tell them to sod off or show you how it’s done.

I think only a very few of us are ‘slow’. We only need to be stuck behind a civilian just walking up a road at normal pace to realise that our steady walking pace is fast by comparison.

I think its written "Somewhere" that you only have to work at a reasonable speed, which again is open to interpretation. :crazy:

This is obviously not going to be fast enough for the majority of Managers, but the wording suits them because they can Gaslight weaker staff and they'll fall for it. :no no

I'd like to see some of these Fat Bastards TRY and complete a 5 or 6 hour delivery in the heat of the Summer without having a heart attack! :cuppa
