Postman attacked by a man and a dog

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a postman was attacked by a man and a dog in Blyth on Thursday, March 27.
The postman used his dog spray on the animal after it attacked him on a path between Sixth Avenue and Jubilee Court at around 12.45pm.

But this angered one of three men standing nearby, who pushed the postman to the ground.

He was taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries.

The attacker is described as between 5ft 10ins and 5ft 11ins, with light coloured hair and wearing a white tracksuit.

The dog was believed to be a black and white bull terrier type animal.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact police at Blyth on 08456 043043 extension 61932.
