Hi all, in Feb his year I had two weeks off annual leave. I work full time. At time of booking it was mid season & I had 37hrs 24mins leave taken off for 1st week off & 37mins 8mins leave taken off for 2nd week off. Then it was was announced Feb would be low season & my shifts should be 2hrs less each week (24mins less each day). However, my leave has remained as 37mins 24mins & 37hrs 8mins with no 2hr reduction for each week off. My Manager refuses that I am owed 4hrs annual leave back as "that's just how it goes" & my Rep just won't get back to me with any help about this.
Please what do I do to get this all put right & fair? Thank you!!

Re: Seasonal variation annual leave issue
For leave year 23/24, 37 hours should be taken off annual leave. Linking Seasonal hours with annual leave only starts in leave year 24/25. So for 24/25 leave year, if you work 35 hours then 35 should be taken off leave. If 37 worked then 37 taken off.

LTB 017/24 seems to explain why, it was 'agreed' !!!!:Manutd1 wrote: ↑25 Jun 2024, 22:04Hi all, in Feb his year I had two weeks off annual leave. I work full time. It has been agreed that Seasonal Variation will have no impact on annual leave
deductions in the financial year 2023/24. As a result of Seasonal Variation
commencing in the ‘high-period’ of its cycle, there is a need to address the
misalignment of hours in the PSP system during the 2023 High Season period (from
4th September to 17th December 2023)
- Accordingly, Royal Mail (Human Resource Services) will make adjustments to the
PSP system to issue back the extra hours worked for all employees whose
attendance patterns were varied under Seasonal Variation. Employees should see
the realignment in hours to their personal leave entitlement before the end of the
Annual Leave year (24th March).
