I'd be interested in hearing anyone who has used one of the electric HCTs. We currently have 4 HCTs and we are due to get another 5 and the DOM is eager to get some electric ones - and I'm certain they are going to be a liability rather than a help. For one thing we have no method of getting them out to a walk and I think the weight would be too much.

At least you would get away with not having to wear a helmet with a trolley.

We had an electric trolley a few years back.
First day out the postman lost control on a steep hill,
and almost run over an old lady.
Idea duly scraped, another great idea gone to the wall.
So unlike RM.

Recently went to Uxbridge to see the new Electric Trolley. Would have been even better if the Prat that was showing it to us had remembered to bring the key to turn it on. Might be good to some walks near the office but they can only be transported if you have a van with a tail lift. Because of the weight of them and you can only use them if the walk is within 1- 1 1/2 miles to the office. They can stick these where they stuck the 2007/8 pay deal. Where the sun dont shine

talk about going full circle!!! we used to have two electric trucks for the town centre walks in macclesfield. the trouble was they were always breaking down, and getting broke into! (despite the yale locks + glasgow box for spls!! ) so tell me what is the point of going back to electric trucks ????? the hcts seem ok ,but despite securing them to lamposts and street signs etc you would only need a brick to break into them!!! :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh
