Just wondering if anyone can give me a definitive answer to the following situation:
Last month saw a ballot for our unit representative. The results were tight, but at least 5 members in our unit did not receive ballot papers (including me).
I can not approach the re-elected rep as they are very aggressive towards their members (and loving towards management strangely), so would like to know if this should incur a second ballot?

Re: CWU unit rep query...
stick together as an office and put in a signed letter to area rep or above of a vote of no confidence in the rep and state why ? as he took the job on to look after his members and NOT himself . , or everybody pull your membership then you dont need a rep and once there is no money or no members in the office they will sort it out asap .ninjabadger wrote: ↑22 Feb 2024, 19:33Just wondering if anyone can give me a definitive answer to the following situation:

Re: CWU unit rep query...
If the five votes had gone against the re-elected rep, would that have swung it for the other candidate?
If so, vote of no confidence?

Re: CWU unit rep query...
Why would all of the people who voted for the winning rep now take part in a vote of no confidence in him/her?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Sometimes it takes a reality check of... reality, to realise just how bad your choice can be. Thankfully, no confidence protocols exist, whatever the CWU term might be for it, I've seen it happen, and the net result was a new rep.Sean06 wrote: ↑24 Feb 2024, 19:54According to op most staff already knew thatR5001 wrote: ↑24 Feb 2024, 16:44Realising they're a selfish bellend, or useless. Re: CWU unit rep query...
i'm shocked that folk are fighting to be a cwu rep!
they only reason to apply for them these days is they are getting the "not advertise" WPC roll" which is mandatory for cwu reps these days
