This bit of France I like very much........

Post by rhino49 »

Just had three bottles of Kronenbourg Premier Cru - what a cracking beer that is - never tried it before - like a dark lager - very rich flavour and 6% abv.
We wish to serve - but we will not be servile

we can't brew Lager well in the UK , too fizzy , gassy and bitter , even Stella Artois is ruined , the bog standard ones on the continent are far superior to the British , some of them taste like the landlord has siphoned them through his kidneys , never mind watered down .

The CO-OP are doing these Kronenbourg Premier Cru at 3 for a fiver as a special promotion - they are an import, brewed in Strasbourg - don't try one on an empty stomach, they are better drunk with food.

too many chemicals in some of those British Beers , the Brother goes on Becks if he has to go to these poncey wine bar type places , as it's strict German purity laws , he was getting too many thick heads .

I go to places like B&M Bargains up north , you get all these short dated British Ale bottles for a £ and Continental Lagers cheap , bit chavvy but I go round before they've all got up , I've got some Jamaican Lagers in the fridge , some of the Polish Lagers would have fuelled the Polish Airforce's Spitfire's in WW2 .

Aldi & Lidi do some good stuff at decent prices .My Dad came round and he was drinking cans of Thwaites ( Blackburn ) Dark Mild , it looked like Guinness , said he hadn't had one in years but a lovely beer .

Kronenbourg , you like it ???
I think it's like water, I prefer dark beer it contains more flavour like Pelforth .
"kro premier cru" I don't know how it is .... maybe it's good ! English people are experts about beer so I believe you ;)
