It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yatton is a village that gets delivered out of the Clevedon office.ted_e_bear wrote: ↑13 Jan 2024, 06:23Yeah, looking forward to the return of Yatton, they were a regular on the list.
I know the area quite well given I played football for their local rivals for a number of seasons back in the day before the two teams merged.

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
I wish they would set up duties so they are completable within time, I wouldn't even care if there was a clock out system where you only get paid the hours you worked.
Just make the rounds doable in time.... then you'll also need less managers. I don't even understand why we have so many line managers. Most of us don't even need to speak to a manager most of the time, and they only time they speak to us is to harass us about being 'slow' when we aren't even slow, which just leads to arguments and time lost.
You just need 1 manager, and then have other non-management, lower paid jobs which involve dealing with complaints, training etc.
The workload versus our contracted hours causes the biggest conflict, it's the biggest downside to the job, and the most time consuming, non-productive waste of time!
