We had a couple of Nights on Thurs/Fri awaiting delivery, but RM had forgot to tell Greenford that we were open. So nothing was done. This morining 18 Met Bundles and loads of some Mag called Traifinder. NO extension on the sorting only 1 hour 6.15 to 7.15 and two mangers doing walks. Sheer Bliss to watch them throw off. Did mention to them that the D2D hadnt gone out on that walk this week would they like to deliver it today.

Pre book extended? never culled?
Fraid it's people like you and your service/customer orientated attitude that RM are exploiting to the full right now. Know where you're at but times have changed

I understand and appreciate your comment Belial but I do make sure RM pay the price of my efforts - so far I have been able to cope without any more physical damage than being a bit tired - once that changes for the worse, so will my priorities. What I think is important is that WE have the choices and not our employers and the situation outlined by eian687 above is quite unacceptable.

Cut offs.....

Post by Albethere »

I feel an affinity with your comments as the SAME problems are HITTING ME!.....getting questioned for claiming Extended Delivery even though I complete the delivery and give good customer service. BUT when I ask NOT to do extended delivery get frowned on also and PRESSURED as they say you should be able to complete within your NORMAL hours (on part time contract).

Finally, when you claim the extended delivery they DON'T PAY IT!!! In our D.O. a number of posties are finding SHORT OVERTIME PAYMENTS missing from their pay slips week after week after week with NO EXPLANATION offerred! We think the boss is MASSAGING HIS FIGURES to make it look good for his boss. It's a really bad situation. Not sure which way we should turn next. HELP!!!

several where I am didn't take them as they would have to sit in back streets waiting for shops to open.

I think we'll pay for it on Tuesday
I assume you are in the West Coast due to your Tina Turner fandom, LOL, But here in the East (Edinburgh) we were shafted again today (Sat) thought after yesterdays mail (hammered) that Sat would be quiet, roll on Tuesday we have gotta be going out with bu66er all. :cfo :lfo

You don't ask for permission to cut off or work overtime! Its not up for debate. You tell the manager you are either working to your time or you will be over your time, simple as that.

Delivery staff have a lot of power when it comes to crunch so start using it.

If I know I'm gonna be late, I'll either work to my time or discuss how much I want paying if I go over. So for example 1 hours overtime I want 5 hours pay. Why you ask? well its my time and not theirs and if they don't pay then they have to get someone else to do it.

Use it or be abused!!!

easy for you to say
if the union is strong in your office
our rep has only been doing it for a short time
our previous rep in now a dom elsewhere so as a small office we have not as much clout

illegal withholding of wages -wages act 92 -enforceable in a ET -if you are following CWU advice it's illegal detriment against

You have to put grievances in and give RM Edinburgh & Sheffield some opportunity to resolve otherwise RM will make you out to be a trigger happy troublemaker as laughable as it sounds
MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.

My wife wants me to look for another job for the sake of my health (and her sanity) but I think I'll just stay to piss them off :nervous
