Yes i dont understand when they say we will be owing them hours,it all seems a bit dodgey to me and we need proper clarification from our useless union, im sure we are on the end of some sort of Horizon f--k up or is it royal mail purposely screwing us over on a system that is doomed to failure.Nickvilla20 wrote: ↑15 Jan 2024, 22:05Next year by the looks of it. We are still owed 28 hours of time during the summer but in the future the earlier starts will only be for 5 weeks and not 14.
It does seem all of Thompsons stupid ideas are slowly being unpicked.

Exactly. We have a legal right to use our annual leave - it is purely our choice if we wish to carry it over. We cannot be forced to carry annual leave over, RM can tell us when to take AL what they can’t do is say there’s no opportunity to take it so we’ll have to carry it over.
At some point in the near future I hope a set of solicitors (independent from the union) see what’s going on, both with annual leave and average holiday pay and we have mass claims. It is not right that people are missing out on holiday pay because of the ridiculous hoops you have to jump through agreed by our woeful union. Likewise it’s disgraceful when you read reports of people being forced to carry over AL in excess of 100 hours.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Think this all about Xmas 24. 5 week's of 44 hour's, as they always wanted. Reducing the Xmas O/T bill is a major thing for RM. Definitely going to be a marathon 5 week's.

That's what I thought, do you think they'll try something like claim they helped us by reducing the period to only 5 weeks but go on to say as it's our busiest period the variation will have to be greater.

It's not written well at all. No mention of those that are not full time either.
We don’t start 10 mins later
We start at the same time and finish 10 mins early!!!!

I’ve never been more confused about what time I start work. It is beyond ridiculous now.

We were told today. Ft’s 14 mins later in and finish 10 mins early. Pt’s start at same time as now but finish 10 mins early. For 5 weeks from Monday. Cue more cutting off from many.

What a joke
part time and ft staff have the same start time where we are. Managers won’t be able to make sense of the docket sheet or when people are meant to be starting and finishing.

Didn't the union suggest a couple of weeks ago "hundreds of offices" would be starting 15 mins later, which seemed odd at the time, now every office is starting 14 mins later, is this some ploy by RM/CWU to test how starting 15 mins later will work in practice, before officially rolling it in April?
