What Month to take NRA60

Post by linntroika »

Hi
Next year will be my last year in RM and i plan to take my NRA 60 one year early after 40 years. My pension will be due in February , but im just wondering would it be better to leave it to May as i understand the pension increase happens at the beginning of April (therefore i possibly may get a larger lump sum and slightly more pension than taking it in Feb )- i intend to leave in the summer :Very Happy

If you are retiring rather than working somewhere else taking it in the new tax year will be beneficial as your personal tax allowance can all be used.
