Confidential post dumped in street

A pile of undelivered confidential letters, including bank statements, were found on a street in Thatcham


A THATCHAM man was horrified to discover a pile of undelivered post had been left lying on the street outside his home.
Keith Brooker, aged 69, discovered the post had been left underneath a pouch box at the end of his street yesterday (Wednesday).
He said: “I couldn’t believe it. Right there on top of the pile was a letter saying private and confidential and it was addressed to my son.
“When I had a proper look I noticed that there was post for everyone in my street.â€

If the top one said Private & Confidential then why did he look through all the rest of the mail?? Why didn't he just take it to the local PO or call the local DO to pick it up. Of course someone will probably be sacked just for someone to get their name in the local rag

Mr Brooker, who lives with his wife Angela, also noticed a letter addressed to himself that had personal details of a holiday that he had booked.
He added: “Someone needs to be held accountable for this. Everyone goes on about security and making sure your identity isn’t stolen and then the post is just left lying on the street.

“There are some real rogues who hang about here and anybody could have picked up that mail.
“One of those letters give out details about a holiday my wife and I booked and tells you how long my house will be empty for.â€

.......the Times wouldn't print my letter because they know I'm a glory hunting ignorant prat so I've written to my local rag because they need something to put in what with the falling housing market, the estate agents are only filling 95% of the paper.

Anyway I actually know why the letters were at the box doodah thingy because I saw the postie chappie drop them while he was trying to put nine empty bags into the box and taking one that looked about 25 kilo's out of it - stupid bastard should get to bed earlier if he can't do an easy job like that. God knows they only have to put bits of paper through holes in doors - doesn't take much common sense or effort does it.

This public servant had the temerity to deliver a card last week requesting payment for a letter that my beloved niece Hortense sent from her public school and the adhesive on the stamp became unstuck which is royal mails fault. They are insinuating that she would be dishonest and not pay for it - I ask you - how unbelievable.

So I determined that at the first opportunity I would stir the s**t and cost this upstart his job - after all there are plenty more where he came from - and it isn't exactly a demanding job - is it?

Now I don't know about you but I would be horrified to find:
1. A dead body
2. Aliens have taken over the planet and we are all slaves
3. I was Adam Crozier and Alan Leighton's love child.
Finding a pile of letters would make me annoyed, slightly irate or possibly angry if it happened regularly.

Scene 1: A dark gloomy alley, the wind blows and a slight mist swirls in the breeze. Mr Thatcham Man is walking his dog when the wind blows a pile of leaves away exposing the crumpled remains of a bundle of letters. The red elastic band looks almost black in the semi-darkness. He screams.
Man : ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He screams louder as the letters leap on dog, in a flash the flesh is stripped from it.
Man : NO, PLEASE GOD NO!
But it is too late, the letters have him. (I can't describe the next part as it is too horrifying.)

It is a town next to Newbury in Berkshire. So it is a rural town (Not been there for 18 years)
