But I think even I wouldn’t go that far — there were some really cringey quotes in the latest edition of The Courier, such as “Becky is always ready to serve her community by working overtime whenever needed” (cover story about three generations of RM employees) and other ultra positive/far fetched drivel.

Don't mail centres need the delivery offices they despatch to , to achieve the bonus in order for them to get it. The same as Voc and distribution drivers? Think it was designed this way hoping the MC workers, drivers etc would volunteer to do ot in delivery offices to help them clear so they would get their bonus. Funnily enough no one from our mail centre or distribution have tuned up to clear any of our mail or parcels

Exactly. Two people who have managed to keep a job working for Royal Mail. I couldn’t have more respect for any new starter who sticks with the job right now and actually enjoys it.

You’re in the best health of your life though. It’s healthy to obsess over a job you failed to keep to such an extent that you invent a dream job you moved on to and snipe at anyone enjoying the job you apparently don’t care about any more.
