End of week catch up with Deputy General Secretary Martin Walsh
Only caught this by accident, didn't hear anything about it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9CXSk8P2SQ
At 3:53
quoting from the transcript:
"We got to deal with the USO which is inevitable to change"
I can't be bothered to listen to the rest of it.

Don’t waste your time on Fridays Martin, nobody’s listening anymore, RM are doing whatever they want in DO’s now and the union are standing by and watching as duty’s & frames are ripped up and dumped on the remaining workers. T&c’s are in the gutter. Lapsing has simply migrated to become a permanent addition to our duties regardless , we ALL cull mail from our own duties DAILY. Tracked is our only concern. The I R framework is ignored and is now the IRRELEVANT FRAMEWORK. managed decline is now union policy. Think I’m exaggerating? Then come to my DO and I’ll show you actual evidence.

Get out off the union and save yourselves a few quid ,and maybe show them what they have done it would be great if the majority of us work force left , only a handful off our office remains in the union.

100%! I left after the amazing YES deal!
I still got £200 extra from Christmas, I was always told the 'underpinned' £100 was for union only, appears not.

Two very dangerous and selfish comments, by two people who have no idea what would actually happen to us without Union representation.
Advising the majority it would be a good idea to come out of the Union. It really beggars belief.

But what would it be like without the union? From my own personal experience 10x worse.

It's the difference between being tortured to death and just plain tortured. Pray for early retirement.
The machine stops.

Agree but it is also obvious the majority of posties remain in the union.sweepster70 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2023, 10:47Two very dangerous and selfish comments, by two people who have no idea what would actually happen to us without Union representation.

There is no union, it's why I left! Why pay for something you don't agree with? I wanted to go ALL OUT STRIKE but these lizards wouldn't, I would've rather eaten out of bins for a month with no money that cave in to these cronies.sweepster70 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2023, 10:47Two very dangerous and selfish comments, by two people who have no idea what would actually happen to us without Union representation.

It's also my life, my money, and I will say/spend it how I want, I don't give a toss what you do with yours and I won't tell you otherwise.
So don't call me selfish, stick your insults where your piles reside.

Re: End of week catch up with Deputy General Secretary Martin Walsh
As I said before, you're selfish!
Being part of a Union is being part of a group of people, but hey...... It's your life and your money.
I would have gone all out if needed, but the vast majority would have chosen otherwise.
The problem is, I do care about other people and will always put them before myself. I also have strong views that some won't agree with.
There is still a Union. I'll agree, but WE need to build again, and cancelling your subs is just plain silly as it's playing into Royal Mail's hands.
