I have been doing some prep work for deliveries, and have picked up the letter sorting into the frame quite well (the CSS sequencing really helps, if im lucky enough to get enough trays of sequenced and not just walk sort)
But i also get about 4/5 bags of packets per shift dropped off at my frame, i'm just wondering if any of you pro's have any tips on how to sort them to go with the frame?
I notice there are 2 levels of shelving above the letter frame, is this where you are supposed to put the packets? I have seen some frames like that stuffed with packets on these shelves but with 4/5 bags i don't think i could fit them all up there.
Is there a better way to do it?

Unfortunately the system is %#£&@d and outdated, the frames were designed before the year 2000 when walks had max 10 small packets per day and big stuff given to a driving duty.
Place your packets in walk order on the shelves above and also use trays placed under the frame.
Not exactly good Health and Safety practices but that’s the way most people prep packets.

The CSSs have been generating a fair bit of walk sort. Normally there's only 2 or 3 letters between the yellow and blue cards, this week sometimes there's been thick wads of letters between them
Most people put their packets up on top of the frame in the order of loops, roads or sectors.
Since there is really not enough room on the frame, I sometimes put packets in boxes below the frame, also in loops and as much as I can I put them below the corresponding loop.
For example, loop 1 is top left above the frame, loop 2 is bottom left below the frame; loop 3, is inside left above, loop 4 is inside left below, and so on.
Large packets are often just sorted straight into the van.
Once you know a frame it's easy to develop your own 'system'.
Sometimes people replace boxes with bags, and basically sort directly to the loop bag they're gonna use.
I used tubs under the frame, putting a P739 card in the slot to remind me that I had a packet. To begin with I labeled the tubs with the roads that went in each one, but after a while you remember which is which. Good luck in the job
The areas on top are supposed to be for packets but because some of the extended loops have too many packets on them they end up being stashed in trays at the bottom with the parcels larger than shoeboxes on Yorks

I think it will depend on if you do a rural or a town delivery. For my town, I use the overhead shelf space and arrange by loops, but if I get too many to fit in two pouches then I start pulling them out as oversize packets and keeping a separate list for those. If you don’t use a trolley on delivery and need to get them in one pouch, then I would have no clue, but we still have people here who don’t use them.

Yeah it's great if you're on a rural, I occasionally get put on some of ours, by the nature of it there'll be considerably less calls, you can just pile the large up and load them in the van in order no need for a list or marking.
Right now it’s just the small stuff and bits you know there’s a good chance of getting rid of that go above. Everything else gets shoved on a York for the agency staff to clear.

We've been getting over 100 Tracked recently on rural duties, there's no way you can just load them all into the van, you have to sort the parcels into the order you intend delivering them and put the smaller items into trays, either straight into trays on your frame or sort them on top of the frame before putting them into trays.

By large I meant the large items that don't fit in the frame or in trays, I do the same as you describe for everything else that does.
