not happy with the £12 and £7 deals - I have over 600 drop points and can take home anywhere from £20 to £30 on an average week. Thats a pay cut of £8 to £23 per week.

I do like the idea of a dedicated delivery duty for them, that could be set up on a casual basis and would be easier for RM to track.

The 5 x 1.67 would be the lowest I would go to and they would have to absorb it into duty time, ie increase prep time.

I can see the union going for options 1 or 2. Possibly option 2, as with the CWU campaign to increase basic pay, RM may dangle this carrot in front of the union as an acceptable choice. The last time I spoke to my boss about D2D he reckoned it would be incorporated into basic, as RM want to "simplify" pay. The problem is as TrueBlueTerrier says, that with Option 1 and 2, a lot of posties will be taking a pay cut if this were the case.

That would be the great reduction in volume then. No D2D's anymore, let our competitors deliver them :mad

I hated them. I think there should be an option for 10p for every 5 doors to doors bundle already prepared before delivering them. So we can just use what we want and none of preparation. So this way we get more money, reduced workload on preparation and Royal D2D get more money.

Heard from a good source that RM are dropping plans for more D2D'S as they can't get enough contracts to up it all.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
