I think it’s too late. The horse has bolted. You cant stop the rot now. The morale of the staff can never be repaired in my opinion. How can there be any trust again?
We have been beaten and we are broken. We do not care anymore and most of my colleagues feel the same. We can’t complete these impossible workloads but we can have £500 if we work our backsides off for 4 weeks like we did during covid. Well I’ll tell you something, most of us are so worn out and exhausted by these massive workloads we couldn’t do anymore if we wanted to.
We are ask why we can’t complete when some of our rounds wouldn’t get done if you ran the whole walk. The worst thing ever was park and loop. Working as a pair will never work. Two people will never be the same speed. You can waste so much time waiting for a partner or them waiting for you. You have lost so many good hard working staff. I really don’t think it can be fixed or how you would even start. Simon did a grand job. People will only take so much. Big shout out to Dave too who got us a cracking deal.

When senior management read these posts, please understand that you have lost the dressing room. There will be 0 improvement in productivity, in fact if anything me and colleagues will be going a lot slower due to the increase in volume, reduction in staff and following all health and safety requirements.
We will be working hours required, and heading home. Get your walking boots on guys!

Clear sign RM know what a shitstorm this Xmas will be after the recent revisions. We haven’t been able to complete on the dead summer days so the next two months should be interesting.
I’ll be politely declining to take part in this shitty bullying bribe scheme. Clear your office and flog yourselves to death for £400 after tax? They can get f****d I don’t want a penny of it.
Dave Ward and the union once again showing how out of touch they really are. All we want is a fair workload and not to feel harassed and pressured by management to complete massive soul destroying deliveries, so what does the big bald moron agree for us? A scheme which promotes pressure from not only management but possibly work colleagues if it’s linked to the office as a whole.
Bloody disgraceful.

Not sure how this will work out when loads of our walks have had 2 lots of "bolt on" roads added in completely separate directions, meaning if you have specials for your original walk plus both new sections you waste at least 40 minutes travelling around the place (and a lot of them are either side of a busy motorway junction) so mail gets elbowed in favour of the "premium products."
We need a re-revision before a lot of us can complete each day, some of us have taken the initiative swapping our additions about so we are closer... but managers hate that and have told us to stop despite it- you know- working

“The time to act is now. Christmas is the most important time of the year for Royal Mail. It is the time when our customers rely on us most and they have trusted us for 500 years. All eyes are on us.
It is more important than ever that we jointly deliver a brilliant Christmas for our customers.
We are taking action to enable our teams to deliver a Christmas to be proud of.”
That’s weird. I seem to remember that Christmas meant absolutely nothing to them last year
We couldn’t complete our deliveries during the summer, now we’ve had our oversize put back on our deliveries. And now this! £500, obviously pro rata, to give yourself a heart attack and get managed out of your job.
That’s a big NO from me

The funniest thing is without deliveries this company is nothing. Just packets and letters sat there. Unless they can get 70 million people to come and get it all.

Instead of making it an office wide thing, they should do it by duty and by individual person. The option should be there for each person to complete and earn extra for doing so. The extra could be called something groundbreaking like overtime.
By the way RM, don’t forget to order extra vans this Christmas.

The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.
