Holiday pay after leaving Royal Mail
Hi
I’m retiring in October and was wondering if I will get paid for unused annual leave. I’ve got 2 weeks carried over from last year and 4 weeks booked after I leave. I wasn’t planning on retiring when I booked these 4 weeks. No one in my office seems to know for sure if I will get paid for all the unused annual leave or just some of it. Thanks.

Re: Holiday pay after leaving Royal Mail
No, you build up your 'holiday pay' over the year so come October you'll have earned half of your annual allowance(If you get full 6 weeks a year that'd be 3 weeks). So add that to your 2 weeks carried over, minus any leave you take between April and Oct and that's what you'll be paid when you retire. Good luck!!

Re: Holiday pay after leaving Royal Mail
Prepare yourself for umpteen phone calls to HR to get your holiday pay when you leave.
I left at the end of May this year.
After 3 phone calls, HR are now copying in the area manager to their email to my line manager asking why my accrued by untaken annual leave figures haven't been sent to the Leavers Team to calculate my due holiday payment.

Pay after leaving?
I'm in same perdictament, I finished last week and received last payslip in post today. It had on it whatever OT I had done last week but then took money off for arrears of HP Npens OT, the same for Pens SSPR AND PSE Adj RMDCP.. I was on a 24hr contract and with weeks owed from last year and holiday accrued this year I should have 3 weeks owed. Should I not be owed something like 72 hrs of pay or I am I wrong. Going into see former manager tomorrow before talking to HR

Does the final payslip look any different? Does it say final payslip on it or anything? I don't know where I stand!

I retired nearly 6 weeks ago. I got P45 straight away but am still waiting for accrued holiday pay. There’s been lots of emails going backwards and forwards between my manager and HR but still not been paid even though it’s been authorised. Yes you will get a payslip for anything paid to you after leaving. Good luck.

Re: Holiday pay after leaving Royal Mail FAO Martin Walsh
A question for Martin Walsh
If a full timer on delivery quits Royal Mail say January 2024 are they entitled to payment or extra leave for the extra 2 hours or 39 hour week they have been doing since September?
What is the official ruling as some say you are and others say no you're not.
Please can you give us the official CWU statement. Personally my thoughts are it would illegal not to not pay back your hours because you're contracted to a 37 hour week.
But confirmation would be great!
Thanking you in advance.

Re: Pay after leaving?
Got my accrued holiday payslip today, was owed 72.5 hours, which I got. But got 18.59 hours/£131.83 taken off me as arrears of HP Pens SSPR, this also happened last week when I got my last bit of overtime payslip. I got onto HR to enquire about this and they said they'd look into it. Haven't heard back yet. The line manager thinks maybe I will be reimbursed this. If HR is back by next week I'll get back onto them for an explanation. Still messing u about even when ya leftarsenalbob wrote: ↑09 Oct 2023, 17:06HairyHobbit wrote: ↑09 Oct 2023, 14:27Did you get anywhere with this? Re: Holiday pay after leaving Royal Mail
You were part time and were paid overtime at SSPR up to a total of 37 hours worked in a week. SSPR is the normal hourly rate plus the Delivery Supplement and any other supplements. Tou then need to contribute to your pension for that element of overtime
HP Pens SSPR is paying towards your pension from the Holiday Pay you have received.
