I've never jumped on the cwu bashing bandwagon but this is more dangerous than anything else in the poor deal they negotiated

We want everyone to have regular performance conversations and for those to be genuinely useful and meaningful conversations based on the data that you now have access to.Basildon Bond wrote: ↑06 Oct 2023, 19:35But "they" have had this all the data already. So the difference now is that "we" can see some of the data. "So what?" I ask. Runner or limping round... so what? Even a runner can only go so fast. Do the job how you always have. Even those that have always taken, let's say, a two hour break at the pub drinking shots... well RM had that data last month and unless you're sacked...you're still here.
Maybe I'm missing something?
It's a bit like, go and get them cowboys and girls- reg rag to a bull type of 'official' thing now.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Basically they want to bully people with statistics to show people how other colleagues are working faster than them in the hope those lower on the list will feel the need to try and compete!
Just another divide and conquer tactic nothing to see here now the union sold us out!
RM has won. CWU and the workforce has lost!

Union what Union? Do we have a union?

Can't find anything from the CWU on this, all those balls on the floor.

Re: RMCtv : Introducing MyPerformance in Delivery.
Does the myperformace app reveal how offices are deliberately understaffed and loops of mail being left in frames? Why exactly is postie A delivering twice as many parcels as postie B? Why aren't managers being monitored to clear the walks that they have made their unachievable revisions on?
On top of this we have PDAs that don't always work in the rain and have just recently have been all over the place notifying customers that their next due delivery date is yesterday.
This is technology that is not being used in the right way. Its principle reason was for the customers benefit, not for any future counselling and conduct of posties for not being able to scan X number of parcels

That is exactly it, a tool to put more pressure on and a way for RM to force more people out of the door.
Will have to see what it actually entails but I fully intend to refuse to engage in using the app unless it becomes mandatory like the vehicle check

Re: RMCtv : Introducing MyPerformance in Delivery.
I doubt it's a case of using the app rather than the simply updating each day on your PDA.
Form the video on Workplace it looks a mirror image of what our COM's already see each day i.e.:
Ist time deliveries, failed deliveries, Specials & Parcel Collects, speeding, idling etc and SISO info.
So far anyway nothing to show speed your walking!

Unfortunately it is in the agreement under the data and technology section....yellowbelly wrote: ↑06 Oct 2023, 18:36What about monitoring the performance of managers? That's what needs looking at!

I thought from the beginning that this was the worst part of the deal and I stick by that.
Don't see how it ultimately helps the company's productivity. All it does is give bullying managers the template to attack weak members or members they don't like for a reason....
It's very similar to models Amazon use.
Disappointing.
