Seem Royal Mail need to update finishing time on Saturday from 12.30 to 1.30 to make allowance for later start.

The only trouble with any sort of cuts in any DO is ex-postman that turn into managers still want to finish as
early as possible.
Postie's are being told to work their time. However Royal Mail have not told their managers. If managers want to finish
early on Saturdays than i would suggest they run their collections out of all the DO's.Late finish's on collections
with an with OPG with leadership allowance would allow late postman to sign back in.I hope that soon ALL
posties will work their time.Collections should ALL work out of their DO's.

outside DO gates. my hrs for sat are currently 7:30-13:30 and DO locked up before 13:00.

fedor fan, that could be a solution, unbelievable that staff can still be out with no managers in a closed office - if that makes sense.

I'm normally the last person from deliveries left in my place on a Saturday, I have to wait for the majority to get back to take there specials etc. Normally leave about 2pm.

Ain't that the truth our managers when on a long weekend finish on a friday morning at 09.30 and not seen again until the next tuesday,on a saturday the late manager( they take it in turns) should be there until 13.00 you never see them after 12,one of our managers disapears at 10.30 and shows up again at 12 and locks up goes home but alot of the staff are still out but she dont care just takes the money and runs never does her job.

why do u wait while 2 on a satday as royal mail dont guarantee specials on satdays and the postmen/woman can always drop there slip lefts at the local post office in there section

Sometimes we care about our jobs and try to do them to help whenever we can but RM managers seem to want to take it for granted now.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Where have all the managers gone? early finish still!!!

Post by Crazy Chick »

At my office our manager tips up for a few hours each day and does some "work" if he feels like it. We get back from our deliveries no one there to hand our stuff over to. So we chuck all our returns including specials by the locker room and leave. One of the lads had an accident one day phoned the office to inform them and get help, no answer, no one there. As long as the figures add up on paper everything is ok!!!
