Re: IHR
Can't understand why they would want to choose a hard nut OH provider, especially when they are paying less than half of what they were paying before, I suppose they are just hoping people have had enough and it is not worth the stress so just leave.

Re: IHR
Hi just after some info if anyone has got to the same stage as me. OH have told RM I can’t go back for the foreseeable, no adjustments or timescales will make any difference Union said they will try and find you alternative work in a different location. I have just had a letter inviting me to a meeting , anyone know what happens in this meeting?

Re: IHR
I think you are going down the same route as me the meeting is probably to offer you what is called a (covered conversation) you may not no of it , it is a way of circumventing IHR they will make you a offer to leave no strings attached via HR , the bung they will offer is fully taxed in other words taxed on every penny, it is a great deal less than IHR no pilon or tax break, I'm going through it now RM are really putting the brakes on IHR they want shot of you for nothing and in a lot of cases they are getting away with it, the union can't help one little bit all the cards are in RM favour.

Re: IHR
No update as far as I'm concerned still waiting for another referral ( this will be my 5th )to talk to the new OH provider, I have been told from colleagues who work in my office that the new OH provider is a different kettle of fish from optima, they seem to be on RM side as regards to IHR it seems from what I here you have to be on deaths doorstep to get out of this place.

Re: IHR
I had my first appt with them on the 18th October, they told me they don’t recommend IHR in there reports even though there medical practitioners. I emailed them afterwards with my MRI results and they amended my report saying they will refer me back in 8-10 weeks thinking that I would need pain management or an injection and they also put in the report they don’t recommend IHR that is down to Royal Mail and HR.I have just emailed them again and told them I need surgery on my spine , waiting for 2 scans,a consultation, waiting list and recovery period is anything from 12-18 months on top of me being sick for 11 months already, I’m just waiting for there reply

Re: IHR
@Terrance I to have a spinal problem been off (15 months) for the life of me I can't understand what RM want, optima in there last referral stated it is very unlikely I would be able to carry out my contractual obligations, so if you are saying OH do not recommend IHR why the hell are RM wasting time and money (£325) a go on referrals, who the hell do you turn to the union is in shackles on this ,the last time the union got involved they were told it is confidential and they could not persue any further.

Re: IHR
Hi it’s doing my head in OH the clinician knows I have to have surgery so if I refuse it then I can’t go back, and if I choose to have it then I will be off for months so another referral is not needed. I can’t believe you have been off for 15 months, are you waiting for surgery as well?it’s disgusting what there getting away with.
