The delivery supplement is not a D2D payment, it's a functional supplement payment

I have always thought it was an early shift allowance.

Quality trolling.

The original delivery supplement was calculated by adding the overall annual cost of the Early Shift Allowance to the overall annual cost of D2D payments and dividing this by the number of members on delivery.

This one off accounting equation was the only link to both payments.

Both payments were completely removed at the same time.

As ESA was pensionable those members who received it before it was abolished had an equivalent amount of the delivery supplement paid separately and made pensionable.

The delivery supplement has nothing to do with either the ESA or D2D.

Delivery staff used to get paid early shift allowance. Go figure.

Mc staff use to get late shift allowance from 7pm now its 8pm go figure.

They will probably try at the next pay talks,seeing as newbies already don’t receive it. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a buy out, a lump sum to get rid of it.

I wouldn't put it past RM to try and get rid of as many allowances and supplements as they can during the next pay talks
