Got back to the office, yorks everywhere of council tax stuff.
Although i did notice they don't seem to have the booklet in they usually do so they will be lighter.
Or is it the calm before the storm.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The guy came back yesterday for his packet, he sort of apologised not very sincere I thought. I've handed the 739 to a manager to deal with hopefully they will send him out warning letter. Not too bad today handed out 350+ items and only got called a 'f'ing idiot' once

Dear k66yla. if that is the case you are obviously forgetting your f'ing idiot training and should approach your workplace coach for a refresher course immediately - we can't leave it all to the managers you know - kindest regards, Rhino.k66yla wrote:The guy came back yesterday for his packet, he sort of apologised not very sincere I thought. easily the worst Saturday ever - got out 1/2 late and finished 1 hr late. Water Bills 2nd Class and Fire Service safety inspection notices and Gas Board safety check notices - the last 2 being 1st class had to go -for every house on most of the walk. Still only a 3 day week next week what the betting the D2Ds will be the heaviest or most awkward we have had for week.

I am very happy the monster walk finished for me for the week as it is hell - very heavy, heavy door to doors, load of light bulbs and council tax. It is a very big struggle after 2 weeks holiday. So next year I got the holiday booked for this week as it will be next to floating week off.
I never want another week like this week. I am so shattered I couldn't do my open university course this week.
I hope I don't have to do that walk again as there will be redesign of all walks coming in next few weeks. I wish I knew when it is completed.

Don't know about our main office, or the other D2Ds, but next week we will have a magazine ( 4p per item ) to deliver that we've never had before - f* ck-a-doodle-doo!TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Still only a 3 day week next week what the betting the D2Ds will be the heaviest or most awkward we have had for week.

Had my garden centre one this week - fortunately with two lightweights that fitted inside it nicely - next week we have 3 x 2 pence ones and the two I've seen so far are bloody awkward designs for frame prepping. I think the targeting system for dtd's must be quite sophisticated, because we get different groups of them within the same postcode but on different types of residential areas. For instance last week I delivered a garden mag - a gas boiler maintainance leaflet and a replacement window leaflet to 4 blocks of housing association flats (90) with no gardens and a corporate service and replacement system - the residents must have been delighted with those little gems of opportunity, but they earned me £30 so why worry?POSTMAN wrote:Is that the garden center one.smokerjim wrote:Don't know about our main office, or the other D2Ds, but next week we will have a magazine ( 4p per item ) to deliver that we've never had before - f* ck-a-doodle-doo!TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Still only a 3 day week next week what the betting the D2Ds will be the heaviest or most awkward we have had for week.
