Firstly thank you for attempting to explain it to me

I think it’s the merging bit that I’m not understanding

Because to me it sounds like I’ll have to flick through my loop bundle for every single packet and loose mail I need to put in

And if there’s no corresponding mail I then have to cross reference the packet address with this reference sheet to see what it goes next to????

And door 2 doors? Do we have to slot those in as well?

Is our office an anomaly with the amount of loose mail we have because the pictures seem to be showing just a few letters?!?

It seems like they’re saving time because you don’t have to put the sequenced in the frame but then losing time on everything else

And you can guarantee that nobody is going to turn for anything so I’ll be guaranteed to miss some packets on delivery and they’ll probably be tracked so that should add some extra time that we don’t have onto the round

Doesn’t make sense to me

Hope they’re going to trial it properly and not just offer greedy managers a bonus if they make it work (or in our managers case fudge the figures, he’s already been caught faking a trust survey to get a bonus and getting us to stream mail everyday to try and make the revised rounds look like a success god knows what dubious crap he’d have us doing to get a bonus for this one)
Yes - flicking through the sequenced on the 'prep tray' to insert say a Radio Times/small packet is what's being proposed.
Who knows whether there's more time gained by not throwing in the sequenced than the time that's going to be taken
up flicking through the sequenced on the 'prep tray' to insert Radio Times/Farmers Weekly etc.

I suppose the efficiency of it depends on how well people know the sequencing on that walk! It's going to be a problem for
newbies/reserves/agency if they're prepping a walk they're not familiar with as they're going to be spending ages
reading through the 'prep guide' to find out where 'The Cottage' is!

Also if the Route Planner data is correct, otherwise the sequencing will be wrong

Exactly. They will no longer be able to ask the van partner where it is on the frame. And if a loop pulls out backwards or the like it will be a car crash.

I don’t even get my mail round the same way most days. It is a doomed experiment from the start.
