The attendance review is the welcome back meeting now hence why you no longer can have union representation.Zicomurphy wrote: ↑18 Jul 2023, 21:09It says no representation at a welcome back meeting. Who takes their union rep into a welcome back meeting anyway? Not read anything that says you can’t have representation at an attendance review.

Reading again what Royal Mail put out last week after the vote that appears to be the case. But it clearly wasn’t in the agreememt which statesmozilla wrote: ↑18 Jul 2023, 21:35The attendance review is the welcome back meeting now hence why you no longer can have union representation.Zicomurphy wrote: ↑18 Jul 2023, 21:09It says no representation at a welcome back meeting. The JWG will resolve within the next 3 months any issues relating to the future role and
application of Welcome Back Meetings, Attendance Reviews and the migration of employees
from the former standards to the new approach outlined above.

If they can't achieve some kind of row back on this Friday then you can expect a lot more of this behaviour from RM.
Agreement not even a week old for goodness sake.
So much for the union being in the room , looking at this they're not even in the same postcode.

Do you actually actually think about the drivel in your head before posting it... enquiring minds need to know?![]()

I believe i posted about this some months back as one of the reasons i couldn't vote for this deal.
I thought there were too many grey areas to deal with and that unless etched in stone you would allow them to interpret it however they seen fit.
And low and behold what do RM appear to do......
I rest my case.

What aspects of the new procedure are the CWU not happy with? Or to rephrase that, which parts are not included in the agreement that we just voted on?

I’d imagine they are not happy because there was supposed to be a joint working group to determine certain aspects of the new attendance procedure and how the transition from the old procedure to the new would happen and then Royal Mail released a document last week without any involvement from the union or without even informing them,
If you want specifics I would say the automatic issuing of stage warnings without a AR meeting or any union representation would be one aspect they are not happy about. Another would be the retrospective extension of stages from 6 months to 12 months. Neither of which was included in the agreement we voted on

If you voted YES you shouldn't really be worried or complain, it was you silly sausages that got us into this mess, 2 years of Royal Mail going back on what they've said and you STILL voted for it because Dave 'Thompson' Ward advised you so.
Next time you're at home, go and look in the mirror, give yourself a little pat on the back. Repeat 'I voted for this' 3 times. Congratulations, you made the job worse, and 'blah blah they would've done it anyway blah'.....At least we could strike over it then, we can't now. GG.
