Had it on Friday, agency guys were called on delivery saying not needed anymore. Mail brought back halfway through the walk, seemed ridiculous timing
Surely RM would pay them to do a full day's work?

Nationally managers have been told to cut 60% of agency in delivery. We are a DPR office and we used between 10-15 a day across the letters and parcel side. The large have been put back on to the shared van rounds next week and the manager has said parcels must be delivered at the expense of loops. it's going to be utter carnage.
I did wonder why my boss asked me on Saturday if I was interested in doing any LATs this week!!

Well that's the USO thrown out the door yet again. Wonder what affect it'll have on the local parcel hubs

We’ve had a few agency doing the DPRs and LATs but they’ve disappeared now. They’ve decided to lapse some DPR duties so a most P&L delivers have their oversize back. Ironically that creates more indoor work.

It will be interesting how they staff up Sundays from the 30th seeing they are delivering T48 parcels to.

Great joined up thinking, bin off most of the agency staff just as Sunday parcel numbers are due to increase!

The first with Sunday contacts are being drafted in to cover agency, I doubt they will last long when they find out the voluntary contracted staff are not being paid the same.

One I know of is on a 6 hour Sunday contract, he is expected in 5 days a week though. :thumbdown

It’s this Sunday (23rd) they start doing T48 up here.
