Don’t accept the result because the majority voted for it !sweepster70 wrote: ↑14 Jul 2023, 22:24Do you accept the decision?markyRFC wrote: ↑14 Jul 2023, 22:15i have my opinions and my views on alot of things, some which may be considered contervertial.sweepster70 wrote: ↑14 Jul 2023, 22:08No probs. I have no problem with people voting yes or no. I do have a problem with the non democratic who still talk s**t.
as i have mentioned above in previous posts, i was a strong NO voter, mainly due to the sick pay and IHR side, i also not a fan of the lump sum payments, as i am of the camp that Lump sums are not as good as if those lump sums were consolodated into our actual hourly rate.
i am certainly not happy with the result, i dont mind admitting to this, but i not one to spit the dummy out just becuase things didnt go the way i wanted them to.
theres many many things i could touch on, as to why i think we as a union are in this position now, but this would just be my opinion and we are all entilted to them.
what ever happens from now on i wish no ill feelings towards any collegue or that.
good luck bro
As an anti Brexit voter, I learned an important lesson from Nigel Farage, Even if the majority voted to join the EU in a democratic referendum , if you makeup enough lies, and keep repeating them, you’ll convince enough people who’ll only skim the surface of the facts to follow you. After 20+ years of twisting the truth, he won over, just enough people to get his way.( and we’re paying the price for that decision) I work alongside Hard core Brexiteers who now admit that they didn’t vote for this, and given the chance to vote again, would vote to remain !
I will NEVER accept the removal of my t&c’s.
What do you think will happen at the end of the agreement when RM recover their profitability? They’ll reward you for your loyalty ? They’ll develop a conscience and decide to fairly share the wealth that’s been created by giving up your t& c’s. Or maybe they’ll just take away the rest of the rights people have previously lost money by going on strike for in the past, and reward themselves with increased bonus’s ???
You have been duped, but sadly, not only by RM ( we all expected that ) but also by the CWU too.
“RM are about to go bust, accept less to keep you job “ ……………..
Keep up the lies , and you’ll get your way with anything
A sad state of affairs for all whether you voted yes or no
Most decent people will end up leaving in the next few years, leaving a transcendent workforce who have no long term interest in RM
But on the bright side, if you’re on the board, a major shareholder or at the top of the CWU , the future is bright!
