RMCtv : CWU members vote in favour of the Business Recovery, Transformation and Growth Agreement

Post by POSTMAN »

CWU members vote in favour of the Business Recovery, Transformation and Growth Agreement

Today the CWU informed us of the result of their ballot, and we are pleased that CWU members who took part in the ballot voted in favour of the Business Recovery, Transformation and Growth Agreement. 75.84% of eligible CWU members participating in the ballot voted in favour of the agreement.

The importance of this yes vote to the future success of the business should not be underestimated. We can now put a difficult year behind us and come together to get back to being our best - improving our quality of service and serving our customers.
With the formal ratification of the agreement, we can now implement the agreement including the agreed pay rise.

Your pay rise

As a reminder, we increased our pay offer and extended it until April 2025:
10% three-year pay deal, plus a one-off lump sum of £500 (broadly equivalent to 2%, pro-rated for part-time employees) broken down as follows:
2% pay rise from April 2022 (already paid)
6% from April 2023 plus a lump sum of £500 (broadly 2%)
2% pay rise from April 2024.

The 6% pay rise for CWU grade employees (excl. Fleet and PFSL) will be backdated to April 2023.
An update on payment dates will follow in the coming days.

CWU members in Fleet were balloted on a separate proposal which has not been accepted. As such, no pay rise will be paid to Fleet employees at this time and the Fleet department management team are considering next steps.

Additional one-off lump sum payment for all employees expected to be at least £900 per employee (pro-rated for part-time employees) to be paid in September

In addition, the one-off lump sum payment will be paid to all employees (not just CWU members) on 29 September as previously communicated.
It is expected to be at least £900 per employee (pro-rated for part-time employees and eligibility criteria apply). The exact amount will depend on the precise number of employees at the time of the payment.

This is an important moment for our business. We look forward to working together to deliver the transformation activity in our agreement and getting back to being the best in our industry.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Thanks that's interesting! So at the time, more people got off their backsides to vote for strike action than they did this deal and the percentage of yes votes was much higher! :cuppa

I didn't vote for this s**t deal, so don't go celebrating too long. Immediately talking about changes n our place - give it one month before more hours are taken away - summer flex walks, those on different contracts are forced to work Sundays (I know the contracts may state this) bang in PDA actuals and performance checks to hammer home RM power over its weakened workforce. Happy like f**k

That’s all you can do now. Most managers don’t seem to care now if you cut off or a walk doesn’t go out.
