The EU is a good idea in principle. In practice it is coming apart at the seams. Political correctness is driving up costs and forcing voters towards extremist Parties. The German health minister has just proposed banning cigarette smoking in cars as it is bad for other occupants health. This will pi55 off more voters who will reluctantly vote for the AFD. The AFD and similar parties are less likely to readily engage with the eurocrats in Brussels.
Also without a common tax policy a single currency will periodically be in existential crisis. At some point the crisis won't be overcome by kicking the can down the street (Greece).

You are certainly perpetually confused scotchy. To clarify, I am in no way leaning, I am staunchly left-wing and pro union, which is why I am supporting the CWU in voting for this deal, to secure all of our jobs in a dying industry.
I am not a fan of the current Labour Party as they offer nothing in the way of left-wing policies I can support. They are anti-Europe, anti-Immigration, against equal LGBTQIA+ rights, offer no viable NHS system going forward, refuse to commit to free education and further education qualifications. I don’t think Kier Starmer has any policy that would lead me to vote for him, but I will because they are the lesser of two evils right now.
