Some of you will get skin cancer but that is a risk that the royal mail bosses and the cwu, sitting in their air con offices, are willing to take.
:Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause We should all wear full kit and not a bit of skin showing ,collapse on the floor through heat exhaustion and get the dimdoms to come and pick us up.
They would probably come out and drag the mail out from under your collapsed, dehydrated body and go away and leave your carcass for the vultures/junkies.
:chuckle :chuckle :chuckle your probably right.

Don't know about in DOs but in MCs there's basically f**k all cooling and ventilation. The "air con" isn't air con just a system that recirculates the air, with no cooling. Best we can hope for is opening any external doors

The health & safety of postal workers has been of no concern to bosses, and it would seem, the CWU, for decades.

If the opposite were true, we just wouldn't have the duties we have now, never mind the constant threat of even worse ones in the future.

More dog attacks because they want a photo with the door open! :arrrghhh

I've never taken a photo with the door open. Never will, usually a blurred pic of my hand or the ground. Couldn't care less.

The dog attacks since photo capture came in have gone from bites to the legs to bites to arms and face. Our COMs are looking into it. Our CWU H&S rep will look into it....sometime...probably
Dump the parcel on the ground, take pic, knock, get out of there fast.

had a dog last week jump through a window cause they left it open cause of the heat. only a small dog but a dog that would still bite you. i kicked it cause it came at my in a agessive way, then it came at me again and kicked i it pretty hard. then it just stood there and barked owner came out. they didnt see me do it to the dog and i didnt want a argue match with them just said there your parcel and left.

i dont really take a proper photo on my regular round. such a time waste and got one of the largest walks in the office. got to get out hour before the regular walks go out just to finish the same time as them.

It's the vans that are the main problem in the heat. They all need to have air-con. We are jumping into a sauna every time we get back in the van.

If the public complained that posties should be out working in the lovely 40 degree weather, then ask them if they enjoy sitting in vans with no air-con in 40 degree weather.

This is a health and safety issue! - in this day and age - Where's the frigging air-con!!!!

If the climate predictions are correct, our employment issues will be the least of our problems.
To be honest, with how much drier and hotter the country has become while I’ve been working for RM, I think the world’s going to be completely f****d. I swear we go whole months without rain sometimes.

Ah that’s good. You will not be having any problems working until later in the summer then. Good news all round.

I tend to respond in kind. If people post utter bollocks I reach for the sarcasm pen.

I wouldn't be too concerned as many of the Climate Change alarmists own beachfront property and fly around in Private Jets.
