The yessers will just say it will happen anyway :arrrghhh

Still time to... VOTE NO :c :thumbdown
Well, voting isn’t even concluded and these changes are happening. Kind of proves their point doesn’t it? Royal Mail don’t need an agreement to force through change.
Union took their eye off the ball, just like everything else thats why the change is coming no matter what.

And its why the membership will return the union a NO vote.
So why are you voting no then? You seem confused.
Because I cant in any conscious endorse this sell out, along with thousands of others. Thats what it boils down too.

Waoh! If this is the start of something coming our way soon in delivery, starting with the callers offices, what next. ...........
Probably all CSP closed eventually leading the way for office mergers?

That could result in all DOs eventually being moved onto industrial estates

That is most likely to happen , Parcel hubs on ind estates posties integrated under one roof with Parcelforce ,

Parcelforce staff have already ordered there new red uniform to match with the posties which arrives in August .

I guessing s/he has read the agreement that cwu/rm put together. The cwu have endorsed the agreement and trying to sell it to the membership. After reading the agreement, there are large parts of it that x-hamseter does not agree with, like a lot of other members do.

I believe that the cwu have have sold out the membership by agreeing to reduced IHR,VR and Sick Pay, along with a whole bunch of others stuff that have been taken away, in return they get to keep the reps in the office, paid union release time, looking after the union and not the membership!

I don't recall seeing any part of the agreement stating, if there is a 'No' result, then 10,000+ jobs will be gone overnight, you are implying that may happen.

No, the agreement doesn’t say that, but RM, the CWU and the PEC are all on record as saying it could happen.

Yes indeedy Mr/Mrs Pharox

I could never ever vote Yes to safeguard my job under the terms on offer.

Its scaremoungering pish and would be voting for something not worth safeguarding.

A sell out on just about every level, no matter the hard efforts that are going into dress it up.

Roll on the result :thumbup

There was already a 10,000 reduction on exit from the year before - Keith Williams words, not mine. That enabled Royal Mail to impose revisions by executive action earlier in the year.

How many more will leave voluntarily in the future due to all the changes that RM are making is anybody's guess
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

You mean, I *could* win the euro millions tonight, I *could* get hit by a bus tomorrow, that type of could? I don't believe rm are as skint as they make out, for one, we can take our vans home overnight after we finished, surely if the finances are that bad, that would have been one of the first things to be stopped. I know, in the grand scheme of things, that's hardly anything, but as Tesco's? say 'every little helps'

Yeah RM aren’t as skint as they make out because they are letting you take a van home to save space in the yard? That makes more sense than RM, the CWU, the PEC and the independent arbitrator all being right in acknowledging Royal Mail are haemorrhaging money. Got it.

Perhaps the couple of £'s used in fuel is not worthwhile worrying about, I'd imagine Thames Water staff were suggesting it was nonsense they might go bankrupt earlier in the month, RM has hit a triple whammy with fuel & energy costs rising, business down and now increased borrowing costs.

Are staff working in CSPs being made redundant then? Of course they aren’t.

They effectively are if the reason they are working in the CSP is because they are unfit to perform a delivery and Royal Mail can’t offer them any other indoor duty.
