If it was a reasonable punt, a punt with at least a chance of a win I would join you but it's not.
The bookie, the owner, the trainer, the jockey and even the horse is telling you it's a mug's bet.
I think even your heart is.
No wonder we've got flip all out of the negotiations if they sent in anyone with an attitude like this.
Nothing has changed since we went into the strikes in the first place, except RM have sabotaged the service a little bit more to make us appear even more s**t and the union have fannied around calling and cancelling strikes. It's only a mug's bet because the bleeding union are throwing a win at RM. We'd still be as solid as at the beginning given there's no more on offer for us yet since then, in the sense of t & cs which are just as important to us as money. Why are such a strong membership being lead with such negativity? It's an embarrassment. FFS, sort yourself out.
Are there any vacancies in your office at Greendale?? Credit to your managers for insisting that you all work your hours though
We are short staffed currently. The irony of it is we are successful. Without getting too specific as I have some quite antagonistic stalkers on here, but we were one of the best performing units in the country. That was pre-revision though so we will have to see how that changes things.
Your office sounds similar to mine most are clearing their duties with easy time to spare I’m actually finding I have more time on the longer days. In comparison my old office is an absolute shambles it’s seems no to offices are the same.
I don’t think can deny though that the mail is at an all time low.
It's only a mug's bet because the bleeding union are throwing a win at RM.
It doesn't matter why it's a mug's bet.
It's just a mug's bet.
That's kind of the point.
You can imagine that somehow those same leaders will find their fighting trousers if you want.
I'm more of a realist.
Is it possible that Royal Mail would actually like the membership to vote no?…
Very unlikely. They are desperate for some stability so they can focus on things they see important. Parcel delivery growth and planning how to return to profitability. It is also important for shareholders. Markets don't like uncertainty.

Yes, Royal Mail do need this agreement and there is a lot riding on it. They don't want an unwilling and striking workforce They want posties to accept the changes so that they can be well placed in the future.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
I think it will be a 90% no vote, maybe a few more sold out for the extra £900, so a bit less now.
I would be staggered if the result is a yes vote.
It's not a sell out it's realisation.. DW and his chums got it wrong strategically it should of been all out none of this sill 1 day strike nonsense.. but then you would of got the whingers I can't afford to do a week strike I want and need the OT so everyone stop With the crying..

I don't believe there is a consensus amongst the board which is probably why this dispute has lasted so long and been so bitter.
Just like any group of people there will be differences of opinion on what would be the best way forward.
I think they will have a plan either way and although they would prefer a deal I don't believe they are willing to compromise their plans to get one, that's really obvious by how poor the deal looks after 12 months.
If they were desperate for a deal at any cost it would have been done and dusted long ago.
You suggested they would come back for more.
More would suggest more davey.
More than what's in the agreement.
Therefore more than we voted for.
Therefore they can't really say we voted for it.
