Well you're not going to get a refund that's for sure,there is only one winner out of this so called deal (sorry 2 ) RM and people who get allowances, it seems the union we're more hell bent on keeping allowances at the cost of US (foot soldiers) than anything else,heaven's above the office I'm at people still retain PHG grade from way back when (by the way one is a union rep) now these turkey's will vote for Christmas I'm voting no but I understand exactly where you're coming from.

You say you've been a union rep and now a health and safety rep, is that done on a full time basis? As in you get taken off delivery duties on a permanent basis or only when needed?
I ask because we have a small office and the union rep and health and safety rep have been released full time to our nearest mail centre, meaning Royal Mail are filling these 2 posties/duties with 2 new staff meaning 4 full time wages covering 2. Do the union fork out and pay these wages out of interest? Should these reps be released on a full time basis, so they can push their empty folders around the mail centre thinking their Lord Muck? Jobs for the boys mentality. Be honest, are they in it for the skive just to get off delivery??
I was in the union for about 15 years and have been out for over a year. At a local level, the union have become an embarrassment and have been more bad than good on so many things. Thought I would just add that.

The union lost all power in the way forward agreement, when all the LOCAL AGREEMENTS came in. Ever since then it's been downhill. And now look at all new starts who will be most of the staff in several years, with no delivery supplement, no paid breaks, monthly pay, Less hourly rate of £11.59 ect. Why the help would they even consider joining a union who along with RM are treating them like 2nd rate/class workers. FFS.
Maybe don’t leave just yet otherwise they’ll put the same deal on the table with an extra tenner on top and it will get voted through if the no voters leave right away.

Be careful what you wish for....if you want the additional pay within 12 weeks you would also get the reduction to pay quicker too. Why isn't getting the same pay every week a better option?
