Exactly and having less money doesn't help even a £900 bung.postieblueshirt wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:58The way this jobs going your NO1 priority will be your health and especially your mental health.richietns wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:56To down play that money isn't everything is wrong its probably ONE of the most important thing in society under family happiness etc.postieblueshirt wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:49Who cares I won't miss what I never had money isn't everything.

If you get the 900 spend it on the best reflective high quality waterproof clothes and shoes money can buy along with a super bright torch and a loud alarm (because tazers are illegal) as you will need it in the dark wet snowy days of winter. And I hope you delever to a nice area because I'd not like to go to rough areas on days like that.richietns wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 09:00Exactly and having less money doesn't help even a £900 bung.postieblueshirt wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:58The way this jobs going your NO1 priority will be your health and especially your mental health.richietns wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:56To down play that money isn't everything is wrong its probably ONE of the most important thing in society under family happiness etc.postieblueshirt wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:49Who cares I won't miss what I never had money isn't everything.

The ship is sinking whatever the result of the ballot. I have no confidence in RM to turn it around and they will be in the same position in a couple of years time. It’s better they call it a day and give us all a pay off, I personally couldn’t care less.

Re: How much redundancy do we get when RM goes broke?
Voting no to see what happens? A no vote result will make the job worse than a yes vote result. That isn’t speculation, it is based on reality. I get people being angry enough to vote no to hurt RM but as you say, spiting yourself just doesn’t make any sense.postieblueshirt wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:43Your missing the point lou people (like me) have to much pride and are very stubborn.NOBODY is under the impression things will stay the same with a no vote.I would love the money and with 2 kids wife house etc etc I could do with it.But I have to much pride to take the money so I voted no just to see what happens nothing more nothing less.WE ALL KNOW the job is ruined so please stop trying to educate every adult on here who can quite clearly think for themselves. And yes I'd rather cut my nose to spite my face.LouBarlow wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:21Exactly. People seem to think that things will remain how they are now if they vote against the agreement. Starting times will change regardless, potentially by more than the one hour dictated by the agreement. Seasonal variation will still happen. Sick pay changes will still be implemented (RM have already stated this) and without an agreement, we will be facing this reality without more money to show for it.richietns wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:17It could be upto three they originally wanted with a no vote.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 08:12Even with a yes vote, it proably won't be long before start times are made over an hour later anywayLouBarlow wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 07:57You pretend that voting no prevents any of that. If the deal is thrown out you will still have your starting time changed, and potentially more than the one hour as was RM’s initial plan. They haven’t broken anything. It isn’t a fight. The Postman wrote: ↑24 Jun 2023, 21:04A yes vote jeopardises the job for those of us who want to continue doing it also. People with commitments outside the new hours will have to leave, I'm not agreeing to a change of contract for anything less than I stand to lose week on week, and it's a damn lot more than what's on offer. I get it though, YOU'RE tired of fighting and they broke you. But I've still got loads left to give.LouBarlow wrote: ↑24 Jun 2023, 19:15It isn’t about having a different opinion, it is about having a wrong one. A no vote jeopardises the job for those of us who want to continue doing it. It isn’t a matter of opinion. RM, the CWU and the PEC are all saying this.smok3y666 wrote: ↑24 Jun 2023, 19:09Why is he/she/they/him/her/etc selfish for having a different opinion than you? Maybe it should be the other way rounf? Selfish people like you who vote "yes" and f**k it up for the rest of us.

You are not getting £900 you f***ing muppets
It’s taxed at higher rate and pro rata
Your money went into pension fund to create escrow account
And RM statutory payments into pension fund
The escrow account is surplus money we created
Not for RM to spunk away to bribe the simpletons
You have already earned this account to protect your future pension
When it goes BOOM
And after this agreement they will come for more
Pension being one of them
If the yes vote carries I hope to f**k they renage on their bribe
I will piss myself laughing
Oh and airport workers just got a 15% -17% rise

Re: How much redundancy do we get when RM goes broke?
I personally agree with you that it this money should be kept in the escrow account, as an emergency fund for the pension scheme.hans solo wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 10:30You are not getting £900 you f***ing muppets

But:
You only get taxed at higher rate if your pay exceeds £50,270.
RM put the money into the escrow account, not us. Ultimately it's their money, but I wonder if it would have been allowed to be taken out if it was for other uses?
