The worst thing that is coming, and I doubt we cannot stop it is the plan to remove frames and have the mail pre-sorted by machine. We won't be indoors as much soon. Even more time will be spent outside destroying our bodies, walking 14 miles+ a day. This will be far too much. The job is exhausting as it is now. This will likely come in and people will be dropping like flies when that time comes.
Is that the bench-merging thing? They trialled it a while back and the fact that they are still keen on it means it will probably come in eventually. Not sure how it would work when you get a load of packets in a shroud to organise with it. I guess it will just be a case of flicking through a tray and marking them off. But I can see many potential issues if mail doesn't get delivered that day.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Changed your mind again yes no yesnorris9 wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 20:56Based on the fact I think the UK will fall into recession now..... I don't think we'll get a better offer on pay if we vote no. It's highly likely we'd be offered less money, whether that's for less change - who knows.
I now think the best option is to vote YES, the company has gone to the dogs anyway. I can see myself leaving within 2 years.

I hope you leave Royal Mail then. Even if you don't agree with, you have to accept a majority vote. If not you're a selfish f****r.

I'm another selfish fecker
I will vote no and remove my subs to the cwu if it's a yes vote .
Why?
If this goes in we will have no union ,it will be a workers association just like Thompson wanted ..
The cwu have shat the bed after RM threatend to stop collecting subs and refuse release to cwu reps .
cwu caved in to that threat .so the next time cwu put its head above the parapet with a gripe RM will issue the threat again and cwu will collapse again ..
RM get everything they want because the cwa have zero influence .
So I'll keep my subs .
If you think you'll still have a union after a yes vote your deluded.
Look at that going on around you and see what the cwa are doing about it.
Feck all management just ploughing on with there plans and the CWA doing nowt .
Still voting NO

Surely the selfish f***ers are the people who plan to vote Yes, take the money, then leave, thus landing all the people who want to stay on with the shite T & Cs deal most of them rejected (just a prediction)?!!
