6. In December every individual will be written to with their units start and finish times and there will be an exceptions process where individuals can ask for their individual circumstances to be taken into account.
I think this is ridiculous.

Why are some people going to be treated differently from others?

This sounds to me like some people will get to finish by 2.30pm at the latest..... whereas the rest of us have to bend over and accept we will have to stay out later....

to rub salt in the wound....these people will be going to pick up their kids and going home, whilst the rest of us are out working through school rush hour traffic, or driving home in school rush hour traffic.

If Royal Mail can cater for some posties going home earlier in the day, then they can cater for all of us going home at current finish times.

Some people genuinely have to pick up children other people don't the problem is who you are partnerd up with,do you bring the early finisher back then go back out what if one doesn't drive, there's to many variable's.

If it gets dark the mail is getting taken back no access. Carry out your own risk assessments, if it gets to 40 degrees in your 15 year old combo take it back to the office along with the mail. Also reject this deal.
96 degrees in the shade by Third World - who remembers seeing that as they flicked through the albums at the record shop?

I remember thinking "bloody hell, how hot is that? Glad it isn't that hot here (in UK)"
Well here we are, 45 years later. 96 fahrenheit is 35.5 celsius. Last year there were many days when we worked in that heat. Insane!

Perhaps a possible offer if you want to finish earlier will be you drop down in hours and do a shorter delivery.

How can I vote yes to a deal, when I won't find out my actual finish times till December? The finish times should be published before the vote so there is total transparency on what we are actually voting for or against.

Half of our office have kids at primary school who they have to pick up,there is no way in this world Royal Mail will let half go home earlier, will you stop with this spin Martin you are reading the Royal Mail script, members are intelligent enough to know a load of s**t when they see it,its going to be a massive NO so lets start telling us some facts of how the union intend to go forward with massive industrial action.if times need to change then we need innovative shift patterns,we need buy down hours for people who cant work late, decent redundancy packages, decent payrises and a far bigger lump sum to sign away any benefits, they should not be allowed to get rid of people on the cheap. If this union wants to stay relevant they have got to get their finger out and start fighting not do as Royal Mail are telling them. All the things you stated that are fact are actually untrue as well you know it, its just something Royal Mail have written on a piece of paper ,have you not dealt with these rogues enough to know none of this will be adhered too.

That is the reason that start times aren’t changing until March. To give people time to make arrangements for picking up children etc.

And if that isn’t possible, am i then forced to leave the organisation, can I then sue for constructive dismissal. I, along with many thousands of employees of this organisation joined because the hours suited, so I could pick up my children from school etc.
I am still puzzled as to why start times need to change to later, if anything they should be brought forward , as proven last year when some offices started earlier because of the heat , very little stuff came back because they caught people in , just how it used to be. I am not opposed to change , my word we have been through enough of it over the years , but at least make it for sound business reasons.

Start times yes, but are we not expected to work later or earlier this winter?

Facts are fun

Dave Ward promised us an above inflation no strings pay deal - Fact

Dave Ward told us Win the ballot, win the dispute - Fact

Dave Ward told us we'd all know our start and finish times before any vote - Fact

Dave Ward has delivered a terrible deal for his members - Fact

Dave Ward has accommodated Royal Mail every step of the way, it's time for him to go.
Delivery

Resistance is fertile

Because they will all turn 16 by March next year or can find £700 a month for child care when we could be made to work any time or day of the week are you for real.
