Re: Here it is
im poised to leave but i am still voting no out of principle. they've let them attack us from all angles, and now this with the escrow pension money, claiming they've ''WON'' us more cos we deserve it. f***ing stinks.

Four pages in to the post and nobody has mentioned the £900 is for ALL staff excluding the board?

Re: Here it is
1st post, and a couple more edited and updated.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Here it is
We should be able to have the later starts with no change in finish times due to the massive drop off in volumes they say is happening…

Re: Here it is
Yes that is £900 for all employees! ALSO managers - so the cwu seem to have negotiated £900 for the managers too, who have had a 4 figure bonus last year, a recognition payment in September of a £1000, £500 quid recognition payment this year due to be paid this summer plus the revision bonuses to implement the new revisions!, plus all the shopping vouchers through the shine programme for breaking the strike
And now we have the CWU fighting and negotiating only for them to get the £900 quid as well! Fuming!
WELL DONE CWU

Re: Here it is
As someone who worked lates during covid let me make you aware that working in the dark in winter months is HORRIFIC ! most vans have no interior lights , torch needed (buy your own) and delivering parcels is dangerous in a van . Cannot see ice on the pavements and drives , please vote no to this awful deal FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY !

Re: Here it is
16.30 finish time sound good. It's about the time a working day should finish.
However, in winter if you add on 30 mins compulsory "flex" and 30 mins "seasonal varation", then your xmas finish time will be 17.30 if you cut off
If you stay out and complete, then you'll be out to 7, 8, even 9pm.

Re: Here it is
Not that bothered about the money, more interested in addressing the workload/culture, and sensible finishing times. Can’t see a future at RM with this agreement, the job is just unsustainable healthwise. Working in 30+ degrees throughout the hottest part of the day or in pitch black on icy roads and pavements, H&S issues?
What RM/CWU don’t realise is that a lot of people are going to vote for the carrot so they can take the dosh then leave, leaving a huge hole in the union then RM can impose whatever they like and be left with people who won’t give them a days work at all.

Re: Here it is
I'm wrong, went looking for the Isles, found Portree first with a new finish time of 16:45.
Unless they maybe have those last 15 mins to get back to the DO and sign out.

Re: Here it is
To be fair if they are using pension escrow money I suspect they had to give it to everyone or no-one.11aaa222 wrote: ↑16 Jun 2023, 19:44Yes that is £900 for all employees!
