Why will it? Can't see even RM reneging on the pay rise of 6% they've said in their blurb is:
6% from April 2023 plus a lump sum of £500 (broadly 2%)

Bowie, the pay rise is absolutely appalling.
Wake up and smell the coffee, you are worthy of much more.

Perhaps they are waiting for inflation to come down below 6% (it is steadily falling) then they can recommend the above inflation payrise?
Trouble is that food, energy etc as gone up by much more already and will not fall back to anywhere near a few years ago.

Not sure if inflation will be below 6% before the end of the year judging by the “core” inflation measure?

Re: I reckon the clever union is waiting till Christmas so we can strike a couple of days
The 6% Deal should just be implemented by all parties to end this charade, and include the Lump Sum of £1500 to all postal workers.
This should be done as soon as possible, because the union has already accepted the deal on behalf of us, so there is no further need for a needless ballot.
The vast majority of postal workers do not want any more strike action, and just want to receive the 6% pay rise and £1500 Lump Sum Payment., and get on with their careers and lives again.
Tuffnells just gone under with 2000 jobs lost.
It's the right time to get this deal implemented for all parties concerned.
