Where necessary, for example when traffic volumes are unexpectedly high or resourcing issues arise, individuals may be asked and may themselves request to vary their duty times by up to 30 minutes on a swings and roundabouts basis.

Individual circumstances will be taken into account and total weekly contractual hours will not change. This means that individuals may flex their duty times by up to 30 minutes on any given day and this will be balanced either way over the next 5 working days.

However this period can be extended by local agreement. A local record will be kept. Any requirement to change times of attendance or flex will take into account individual's personal obligations and responsibilities.

Monday morning, none of the above will any manager take into account

aye, with the "never ends up equalising" crowd. If you give 30 mins, that 30 mins will trail until the summer when you get one day with no mail, f**k that. If it isn't dealt with in the same week (I'd accept Saturday only being passed to Monday only), it should be lost.

Ok so its week one after flexi time has been introduced and you've had to flex 3 days and your owed 1hr 30. You get asked to come in 30 mins late Monday Tuesday Wednesday next week to get your time back, however Monday is busy and you are asked to flex 30 mins , this happens Tuesday and also Wednesday so you havnt had your time back, in theory this could go on for weeks and you would never get your time owed back?
Biggest con going, open to abuse by any untrustworthy manager. Vote No!

Totally agree on the dodgy manager point. However, on the original point, surely nobody would agree to flex on the same day they're getting the previous flexing back. Somewhere in all these s**t agreements we keep signing this must have been addressed. Getting your previous flex back before agreeing more is just common sense.

Would June fall into the 35hr a week period? No chance of completing if so.

I won't be surprised that in under two years nobody will be finishing before 5pm.
Will be no more collection duties. All piled on delivery.

One are you the only one with a vote even if this s**t gets in still will not do it so they the management are f****d they divest themselves of good workers and new entrants leave without notice. Thing is the whole place is run by muppets from the top and will not flex 30 min or 30 seconds it is their doing for greed and bonuses that they leave themselves without staff!

If its a NO vote then they can't change the 30 minute flexibility from optional to making you do it without re writing your contract ,if they use executive action there will be lots of different scenario's and that's a whole new ball game 115,000 workers contract changed, seasonal hours will be even harder to achieve without a change of contract when by law they have to pay you for the hours you work within 12 weeks not the current 32 weeks they want, its imperative we vote NO to stave off these attacks, why the union ever agreed to this i will never understand.
