Look we all know the changes are going to happen in someway so please can we just have our long overdue rise now please?
100% agree. I really don't care what comes in, just need a pay rise. My 33 hour contract isn't cutting it, and changes are all coming in anyway. At this rate all the changes will be forced in and we won't get any pay rise as the union are stalling. In my office the revision has been in for almost 2 years, and nothing has changed. I actually like the unachievable revisions, as it means more overtime opportunities. Before the revision, you'd be lucky to get any day off overtime at all.

So you will be someone better off with the pay rise then, even with the costs?

You won't have to fork out way more £££s in child care costs?
You won't be sick or injured more than once a year and get nothing to peanuts in sick pay?
You won't lose out in o/t because you'll be doing the extra for nothing via annualised hours?
You're not in danger of needing IHR when it's worth a hell of a lot less?
Open your eyes, it's a total con and we're all losers. Lucky you if you only lose by a bit and you're not one of the ones hit hardest by changes.

its a terrible situation, but they're doing it anyway. Unless there's an all out strike, striking won't affect them. And they're not going to do an all out strike. So I don't know what other way forward there is. I was happy to strike for a week or 2 at a time, as thought it would work, but we fumbled the bag with these single day strikes. ]

Not enough people will strike, even if there's a no vote and they're bringing in the changes anyway. So I really feel like we may as well get a pay rise than nothing. My personal plan is to look for another job eventually, because even if by some miraculous chance we fend off these attacks, it'll only be a matter of time before they get what they want.

This is why RM are happy for it to drag on. They are saving a mint only paying 2% last year, nothing backdated and nothing yet this year.and that probably won't be backdated either

also if the union don't think we can get a better deal, and they're representing us, then what chance do we even have anything. The union have promised too much and have been terrible.

If the last revision you had was 2 years ago you are about 2 behind the leaders now and when you catch up it won't be pretty. If you think rounds are unachievable now, you ain't seen nothing yet

f**k their blood money
Leave the t&cs alone
We fought for these years ago and gave up plenty
We have fought more over the last 12 months than anyone ever "fought" years ago.
I should know I was there "years ago".

They're not going to leave the T&Cs alone whether we accept this deal or reject it.
Never a truer word spoken. They will keep going till we have basically nothing but bare minimum t & c,s left.
so,....the obvious thing to do would be stop them from doing this....how?.....all out strike is the only thing they would take notice of, but, i very much doubt that will ever happen with the namby pamby Ward and company in charge. others seem to just want to accept it or it will be administration. i honestly think we are well and truly f****d here like. sold down the river.

Saving a mint? Did you see the recent financial results for the year?

Think since the union have now accepted that there is no pay with change, that looks less likely now that it was before if you believed the company would do the same as they did last year. Guess there's no real choice till vote comes in whenever union decide to put it up to it's members. Under the mindset of now just bidding my time, build myself up from after the strikes then leave cuz personally don't see a good future with this company with or without the agreement. Respect your decision if you don't think it's acceptable though, cuz it is far from a good deal and stretched to people's physical and mental limit now
