There's a lot of ! in there.
DJ Joyce is talking bull,

There are perfectly adequate laid out methods of nesting, strapping and moving white correx sleeves.
And for loading and repat operations.

Hopefully by the end of this week we should be at some 60% white correx sleeves across the network.
Good for you mate.
Hope it all goes well and makes things smooth in processing whilst your colleagues have to manually sort from these ridiculous f***ing things every day.

Well done you.
They are the same as a MK4
Yep bar the fact the MK4 has a section which can lift it up to a level where you don't actually break your back sorting out of them. These monstrosities are perfectly designed for the PSM and the tipper to put the work into the machine. The large part of Royal Mail has a human being touching his toes to try and take out the packets from them. I guess you work on a PSM go have a chat with the Manual Sorters in your MC what their opinion of them is and come back to me

Yet to see a Mk4 with the base bit raised up. In practice the bases in them are likely to be at their lowest level to maximise their capacity

A shovel to get the packets out from the bottom? Now that invention is ground-breaking. :chuckle :chuckle
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

when sorting packets to the walk bags we have about 5 people around 1-3 yorks. So now we are pulling out and waving snow shovels around with boxes on the floor for good use. what could go wrong?

Boxes on the floor aren't allowed as they're trip hazard

Suggest you have a look at the video in post 1 as the OPG is shown demonstrating at around the 2 mins mark how to scoop the last few packets into a tray she's placed on the floor. I assume RM will say that the trays shouldn't be left unattended on the floor once they are filled.

Why would they still be a hazard if it's used as described and then it's picked up and removed - no longer a trip hazard.
Anything put on the floor is a trip hazard if it's left there. It's just normal workplace husbandry and the same as any
other SSOW/risk assessment if the information/warnings/controls are not followed.

Surely people wouldn't plonk the empty tray back on the floor when they've emptied the last packets/parcels out of it would they?

Order’s came through yesterday to our MC, utilize and despatch white correx containers to all D.O’s

Get those quadriceps limbered up, you’re gonna be experiencing what an MC worker experiences at that physical level 5 days per week!

MC->MC dispatches of SD sleeves will soon have to use green sleeves, will there be enough? Currently red sleeves get used.

The SOP for SD’s has required all SD’s to be transported in Green Sleeves for some years. So that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

No sign of us using them for MC->DO runs to either not every MC was ordered to do so or our MC was ordered to do so and management are ignoring the order from above

Red sleeves have been used for MC->MC runs for a good few years now. We're not allowed to use green sleeves for any MC->MC runs

What planet are you on? The number of green sleeves available to use is tiny, they've probably been hoarded by some offices. There's never been anywhere near enough of them. SDs in open topped reds are a regular feature in Network
