We have had to change the lapsed walks every so often due to too many customer complaints about not getting mail delivered.

Line manager today said nothing is being reviewed and lapsed frames will be absorbed to our own walks soon. Said they. like us have been told from above if dont like it, leave
They already did that with us early on in the year during the time of the first Joint Statement. Walks failing regularly now. The amount of side eyes and blank stares people were giving to each other as area rep came around hyping the deal up saying it would reduce the need for lapsing was unreal. Union are getting the piss taken out of them.

Already happened here. 70 to 120 calls added to our frames from lapsed duties. More mail to throw off more D2Ds to be prepped and more parcels to do every day. Vote No .
Do you seriously think RM will review the revisions if they get a No vote?
No I don’t. Neither will a Yes vote. Accept this sh1t deal and You will always regret it I think.

Yup working for free this winter (or the lump sum)
Working later in the early evenings.
Working with worse sick terms
IHR shrank
VR shrank.

And thats just the first round before they come for more.

Least its still a job though....or vote no and show them to ram it.

How could any union come up with us working hours for free in this financial year,it blows my mind how bad all this is.

I'm voting no .
We're not working later for free in the winter .
The boss will ask you to work 30 mins later on your finish time if things are busy and promis to give you it back the following week.

So say you work those 30mins every day for one week ,the following week the boss could give you it back by telling you to start 30 mins later all week .
Heres the problem say your office start time is moved by 1 hour and the boss has you working 30mins later every day and giving you it back by starting 30mins later your new start time could be move 1hr30 mins compared to what you have now.
So 7am start now could turn into an 830am start with a preptual 30mins working later if you have a rouge manger. :

Still voting no.

I've edited the post because I got mixed up with the extra 24 mins in the winter ,24 mins less in the summer with the 30mins flex they are about to make compulsory.
Apologies 🙏
Have a good weekend .

vote no by not staying out..... don't complete. What you can't deliver - Bring it back or leave it in your frame.

tend to do that now. My partner has gone sick so had agency guy with me and well below tempo needed, or sense of urgency. If RM are thinking agency staff are going to do a better or even same job as us, on lesser contracts, there is calamity ahead

Worked with an agency guy today, nice guy but not up to speed with the enviroment we are working in. Went over our time approx about an hour today. Delivered 2 loops of mail
Shortage of staff in my office. Two regular guys on my walk on holiday at same time. So Its me to cover the mail on one walk and the tracked on the other walk plus specials and collections. One of the walks is particularly challenging - took me a day or two to get the nuances.
They offered me a casual. I said no thanks, It'd be like running a 3-legged race. I broke the walk with mail down into 10 smaller loops from six. Came back with mail from 3 of those mini loops at 3pm. Legs tired, mind distracted. Thats when accidents happen. Back to office and home.
Staff the bloody offices appropriately. Put VR back on the table - I'll bite yer hand off.

And for God's sake - let us frickin vote.

That sums it up, they really do think that the job is that simple it can be done by monkeys, they have no respect for us whatsoever, yes I know it's not rocket science etc but it's a few steps up from a lot of minimum wage no engagement of brain required jobs.

It’s a hell of a lot more complicated and physically demanding than most people realise, just look at the number of people who leave within the first 6 months.
You have to be super organised and barring the meal relief there is no time to piss about chatting like in other jobs. It’s go go go from the second you walk in the building until you leave. Obviously I’m biased but I doubt there are as many jobs as full on as ours, it’s relentless.

To me, that says less walking the streets if you just work your hours or overtime if you want it.

I've no idea mate .
Also if they get away with taking out 30mins prep time in the morning that time will go onto your delivery ,add another 30mins to your outdoor workload along with the 30mins flex and the extra 24 mins in the winter means you could have another 1.24 hr outdoor added to what you have now .

Still voting no
