Who would want it ?

plodsie wrote:Checking my jackets none of them say they are RM property. This would effectively make this kind of thing unlawful as it's theft and/or reset. This may well be someone who was in the job for a few months then left with everything, safety boots included. After the recent heavy fine, you'd have thought they would have tightened things like this up.

It didn't go unnoticed that a cassie or a TC was wearing RM shoes but civvie clothes , possibly to give the impression he was more permanent staff , nobody would tackle him as it wasn't Politically correct so RM would be quite happy to command and ignore .

We were told at Induction one it was unlawful and RM didn't want the uniform to get in the wrong hands i.e. for a raid or something . In a previously nationalized industry everything was stamped or marked so the cost of providing the uniform could be claimed against corporation tax .

There's 36 pages on Fleabay for Uniform , some of it goes to collectors or these people who like dressing up for enactments for the weekend . There was 1hr programme on TV for German WW2 Enactments , people even getting married in Uniform , it came to the startling conclusion that some of these people had extreme right wing views -Well I never !

One advert for RAF Uniform said Possible Gay Interest , I don't think RM Uniform would do anything for anyone who is inclined that way or anyone would have a fetish about it .
In any case we are being metaphorically getting shafted up the a*** by L&C on one hand and Billy Bunter & Dave Ward on the other hand workwise .

As far as i know you are not allowed to do this. All uniform and delivery bags should be given back if you leave.
Swindon did sell a lot of excess, and out of date stock on ebay a while back. IIRC, someone got into big trouble over this.

might be a way of sending it back surcharged with the help of a friendly postmaster :Very Happy

In another Industry it was in the rulebook : -Section A Employment & Discipline -Return all equipment -you'd also be reminded to by Personnel on leaving , so the DUM & RM have slipped up there .
