Vote of no confidence

Post by hans solo »

How do we get a vote of no confidence in
CWU leadership
And PEC executive
As they are clearly not representing the membership by delaying a legal ballot

They should do the decent thing and step down from their positions, before they drag us all off a cliff edge.

Why? When only the minority agree with what you say.
I agree with what the CWU leadership say and they are representing the membership.

They will call the ballot when they feel the time is right.who exactly would you like to represent you.. because year after year its almost all the same names on the ballot paper. do you ever vote in these elections.as it is always a very small % who vote.

That's a far too polite reply. He's talking s**t.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and yours clearly counters his.

The CWU lost my faith when PFS received 7% backdated to October 22, and 4% from April this year!

I'm on good terms with the engineers, I and respect what they do, however it's us posties, drivers etc who put the profit into RM (or, at least we did until Thompson and his brethren spaffed it up the wall!).

At the end of the day, Dave Ward hasn't suffered any hardship during these negotiations, he doesn't have to worry about his rent or mortgage, or if he can afford to put fuel in the car

In plain English, if we had another option regarding a different union, then i would seriously consider it.

It's that kind of bollocks that sums this crappy company up, isn't it?

Nobody has it as hard as someone working in a MC, not even one of those poor bastards in deliveries!

Yeah, right. :so there

So where is Ward and his "we will win this dispute hands down", "win the ballot, win the dispute" rhetoric now?

I said at the time that this would do the CWU's cause no good and I was shouted down for it.

Ward's body language when I saw him on the video this week looks like he's had enough and I think we're on countdown to him going.

Time to have a choice of union and stop the cwu monopoly, maybe then we will get one that stands up for its members.

Be careful what you wish for. Look at all the different teaching unions and because the all have different agendas they are very ineffective. Schools basically have no union representation in schools and that’s due to having so many different unions.

My wife couldn’t strike as her union didn’t get enough of a turnout for them to strike.

I think the Royal Mail Board of Directors and the CWU Union and the Postal Executive Union should all be given a vote of no confidence by as many RM employees as possible.

Then we should asked to represented by an alternative Union who understands the current plight of RM employees.

Ask whatever union you like, but RM aren't obliged to recognise them as representative, and they won't.
